Crash of the Titans for WII - Crash of the Titans Wii - Crash of the Titans WII GameThe Good

  • Monster-jacking adds some unique flavor to an otherwise vanilla platformer
  • Solid voice acting.

The Bad

Sin and Punishment Review

Sin and Punishment for WII - Sin and Punishment Wii - Sin and Punishment WII GameThe Good

  • Great mix of shooting and character-focused action
  • Set-piece battles show that the N64 wasn’t as weak as everyone thought
  • Finally, people in the West get to play this formerly Japanese-exclusive game.

The Bad

  • You can breeze through in about an hour if you don’t care about scores or continues
  • The 1,200 points cost seems dubious considering the Japanese version was already in English.

Donkey Kong Country 2 Review

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest for WII - Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest Wii - Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest WII GameThe Good

  • Arguably the best of the DKC series
  • Levels incorporate a lot of climbing and piggybacking on animals
  • The team throw adds another layer of exploration
  • Every level has rain, a river, or some other background detail to notice.

The Bad

Graphical imperfections are more evident on large, high-def displays.

Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting for WII - Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting Wii - Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting WII GameThe Good

  • Still some of the best gameplay of any 2D fighter
  • More playable characters than World Warrior
  • Adjustable speed settings are a great touch.

The Bad

Some audio funkiness inherent to the original SNES game

  • Game is much, much less fun to play when using a GameCube controller.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for WII - Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Wii - Sonic the Hedgehog 3 WII GameThe Good

    • Fleshes out Sonic’s familiar run-and-jump formula with livelier environments, more bosses, and more abilities
    • Story scenes and cute transitions link the levels together in a cohesive manner
    • Save feature makes collecting emeralds and finishing the game more manageable.

    The Bad

    • Sega could release Sonic 3 & Knuckles later on.
