Dewy’s Adventure Review

Dewy's Adventure for WII - Dewy's Adventure Wii - Dewy's Adventure WII Game

Dewy’s Adventure is too cute for adults and too frustrating for kids.

The Good

Interesting temperature-based mechanics.

The Bad

Presentation is so cute it might make you violent

  • Motion controls frustratingly inconsistent
  • In-game advertising is so blatant it might make you violent.

Sonic and the Secret Rings delivers an excellent sense of speed and plenty of depth, and what’s just as impressive is that it makes Sonic fun again.

    The Good

Nice graphics and great level design

  • Excellent sense of speed
  • Varied challenges keep the game interesting
  • Dozens of multiplayer minigames.
  • The Bad

    Controls can be extremely frustrating.

    Pangya! Golf with Style Review

Super Swing Golf for WII - Super Swing Golf Wii - Super Swing Golf WII Game

Super Swing offers a quirky experience that may strike a chord with some players, but will probably turn off anyone looking for a traditional round of golf.

    The Good

Using the Wii Remote as a golf club works rather well

  • Fantasy courses are imaginative and fun
  • Pangya Festa story mode will keep you busy for a long time.
  • The Bad

Even when you think you’ve got it down, the putting can be maddening

  • It’s $50 on the Wii, but the similar pc version is $0, free, gratis
  • Sometimes the game is just too darn quirky
  • You can’t fast-forward or skip an opponent’s turn.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 Review

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 for WII - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 Wii - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 WII Game

Tiger Woods 08 is good, but it’s only slightly better than the last game.

    The Good

All three control options work well

  • Solid amount of golfers and courses
  • No shortage of ways to stay busy.
  • The Bad

“New” game modes aren’t all that new

  • New courses come at the expense of existing courses
  • Putting is a bit too easy thanks to the new preview mechanic.

    Battalion Wars 2 Review

Battalion Wars 2 for WII - Battalion Wars 2 Wii - Battalion Wars 2 WII Game

This sequel to Nintendo’s console wargame wages a much more successful campaign on free time.

    The Good

    Drastically improved pacing in campaign

  • A decent attempt at online play
  • Excellent production values.
  • The Bad

    Still strategy “lite”

  • The artificial intelligence is overly simple
  • The story is, too.

    Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Review

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for WII - Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Wii - Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn WII Game

With a terrible plot and an unforgiving difficulty level, Radiant Dawn is best left alone by anyone but the most hardcore of strategists.

    The Good

    Fantastic cel-shaded 3D cutscenes

  • Good variety of mission goals
  • Allows midbattle saving
  • Ability to port clear-game data from Path of Radiance.
  • The bad

    Laughable plot

  • Frustrating difficulty will alienate newcomers
  • Doesn’t even try to adapt and make use of the Wii
  • Little to no improvement graphically over its GameCube predecessor.
